Participants Mayors, municipal councilors, water technicians, representatives of the Board of Directors and staff of the NGO RIF/WPD.

Objective of the workshop

The workshop aimed to raise awareness and inform Mayors, Municipal Councils, water technicians about the overall approach of the project “Sustainable development and management of water resources in the Katsaoka AGIREK watershed” in order to encourage them to assume project management and be actively involved in the completion of the project.

• "Elaborate a Plan of Development and Integrated Management of Water Resources for the Katsaoka watershed, validated by a Basin Committee set up according to the legal and regulatory framework", “Mobilize the Basin Committee and the municipalities for the integrated management of water resources, the development of access to drinking water and water for all socio-economic uses”, “Encourage the population of the Katsaoka watershed to contribute to environmental protection to face the negative impact of climate change in order to preserve water resources.”, “Support the Basin Committee in the implementation of the Development and Integrated Management of Water Resources Plan in the Katsaoka watershed”.
